There are a great many people who enjoy reading Scripture. Unfortunately, however, there are a great many more who do not. Of this second group, there are many within who, when asked, would speak favorably of the Lord, His word, and way. But, when asked further what he (she) knows of the Lord, His way, and word, little knowledge comes from the lips.
It is a challenge to all who enjoy reading to be sure they understand and then apply the holy word to life. It is a challenge, but one that can be met if the desire is there. It is a challenge, furthermore, to hear the Lord’s word and apply it with consistency. As the Lord said, in a different context, the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. The solution? Watch and pray.
no comment on subject matter, but love this idea. Will submit to notify me to follow comments and conversation.
Looks good Ron. It is also an easy read. Keep up the good work.
It looks good, Ron. Only one criticism–proofread. Read your next-to-the-last line. “Willing,” not “will”. I had to find fault somewhere! Have a good weekend.
Hey brother,
This is a good idea, hope it works well in spreading the Good News..You are right in your approach..It would be great if more folks would “study” the Word and not just read…And then follow it.
Ron, continue. I miss your lltrs some times. My mail box runneth over, because I don’t get on the ball.
Good read. Very vague though.
It is difficult for us to apply consistency to our beliefs. I thank God for spiritual people who are able to see our own inconsistency and admonish us about it. Exactly as you said, it’s all because our flesh is weak.
