The thoughts of the righteous are right, But the counsels of the wicked are deceitful (Proverbs 12:5, NKJV) The thoughts of the righteous are right because they have chosen a particular way to think (cf. Philippians 4:8). The righteous refuse to think negatively and with suspicion toward others. The righteous are not naïve, however; they are just charitable in their thinking. At least, they should be this way. If they are not, then the Lord takes time to instruct in His new way of thinking; it all starts with Christ. Then when the righteous decides the path he will walk, all he has to do is follow the path the Lord already walked (John 14:6).
