The Apostolic Call, in 1947, addressed a question concerning women preachers. The question is asked this way: “I was told that because a woman couldn’t be an ox and that the Bible says that where there is no ox the stall is dry, therefore it was wrong for a woman to preach. What do you think?” The one who answered the question was correct in being dismissive of such a question—for the Bible says nothing about any relationship concerning a woman, an ox, and preaching. Unfortunately, however, Galatians 3:28 is used in justification for women preaching. This is not a passage that justifies women preachers; in fact, to use it for such is to pervert the meaning and context. The Holy Spirit is plenty clear about women preachers (1 Timothy 2:11-12). RT
