A man shall eat well by the fruit of his mouth, But the soul of the unfaithful feeds on violence (Proverbs 13:2, NKJV). This is an interesting proverb because it seems to speak to the spiritual and physical. We know, however, that it is not the case that the righteous will always have physical food given them to sustain them. On the other hand, we also know that those who are nurtured by God on His “sound doctrine” (or healthy spiritual food) will feed on that which comes from the heart and that, in turn, will be a word of encouragement and exhortation to others. This is not so with the unfaithful because they food they ingest is arsenic laced.
