In the house of the righteous there is much treasure, But in the revenue of the wicked is trouble (Proverbs 15:6, NKJV). Note the word “treasure” and “revenue” in this connection. With the righteous, there is much treasure; is the treasure something material? It could be, but perhaps something spiritual is in view. Notice the word “treasure” in relation to the word “righteous.” Because of this connection it is not the material that is in view, but the spiritual. Either way, for the righteous, it should be more likely they use money well because he (she) is guided principally by moderation, rather than that which guides the wicked, who spends what is gained on that which is vain.  RT
