Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6, KJV). When Paul wrote to the church at Philippi, he wrote to them words of exhortation and encouragement. For instance, in 1:6, the good work of God that started within the individual saint and, by necessity, the church will be completed at the proper time. On occasion we wonder about ourselves in this walk with Christ we willingly embraced. As we abound in the Lord’s work (1 Cor. 15:58), we need not wonder at all. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
